The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a Community Mental Health Team in North Queensland from ASAP for 12 weeks initially.

This is a predominantly Adult Community Mental Health role, with exposure to Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Child & Youth Mental Health (CYMH) presentations as required.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a community caseload
  • Completing intake and triage (shared across the team approximately one day per week)
  • Conducting comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
  • Developing and contributing to collaborative care plans within a multidisciplinary team

Previous community mental health experience is highly regarded. Experience across adult, AOD and/or youth presentations will be beneficial. CIMHA experience is desirable but not essential.
